"So far, I have only had the appetizers, and have enjoyed them all. They were all very tasty, especially the nachos and the meatballs, and good portion sizes. Service was wonderful and owners are very friendly. Definitely will make this a regular place to go."

"It is still close enough to when the place opened that it is being visited by lots of people checking it out. Expect to find lots of people there and since not much of anything has been done for noise do not expect to be able to hear anyone that is not next to you. They have kept the early 20th century look inside. The menu items have 'colorful' names not much related to what they are, so expect to spend time looking over specifics, and asking questions. Friendly waiters, but they often forget what you have asked for since they are very busy. Food is good but I don't find it excellent. Prices are high for a small town place. It will be interesting to see what it is like once the newness wears off."

"I had no real hope of this place being any better than any of the last few places that have been in the same spot but Black Barrel Bar and Grill pleasantly surprised me. "I went to Black Barrel Bar and Grill for my birthday and I’m pretty sure I accidentally discovered my new favorite spot. The place was packed, but the service didn’t suffer a bit. Our drinks never had a chance to get low, the food came out hot, and everything was delicious. My grandson basically turned the spinach artichoke dip into a personal hobby, and the giant stuffed tater tots disappeared so fast you’d think they evaporated. Even better, the place is way more wheelchair friendly than I expected. The bathroom was actually accessible, not “technically meets fire code if you turn sideways and hold your breath.” It made the whole night easier and honestly kind of impressive. They’ve also got several huge TVs that look perfect for watching the game. It’s a pretty long drive for us, but the food and the whole experience were absolutely worth it. We'll definitely be back!"
